Message Mirror

Mutare's Message Mirror for Modular Messaging provides continual monitoring of the production Modular Messaging system and copies, or "mirrors," message information and, optionally, the LDAP database, to a backup server. If an outage occurs on the main system, trunks can be moved to the standby server, quickly restoring access to messages. Should data be lost on the main server during an outage, Message Mirror will copy all saved message information back to the main system once full functioning is restored.

Message Mirror backups can be performed on all or selected mailboxes according to preferences set by the administrator. The Message Mirror solution includes access to a website that provides real-time status reports on the number and frequency of mailbox updates and volume of messages included in each backup. Should the system detect an error, it automatically sends an email report to the administrator for review and corrective action.

Message Mirror is available in three levels:

Base: mirrors messages and greetings only;
Expanded: mirrors messages and greetings, plus names and passwords;
Deluxe: mirrors messages, greetings, names, passwords, plus automatically creates and deletes mailboxes on the backup system, including all mailbox settings, as they are created and deleted on the production MM.

Requires Modular Messaging system release 3.1 or later.
Requires remote access to the Application Server and access to any data necessary for the application.
